The Puppet Co. at Glen Echo Park brings back Jennie the Cat: A Halloween Adventure, a Helen Hayes–nominated puppet show by Ingrid & Mollie, running October 3 to November 3, 2026 on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. When Jennie gets a Halloween card calling her a scary cat, she wonders whether she has to be scary — and along the way meets new friends and shares tricks and treats such as skateboarding, shadow puppetry and pumpkin carving. The show features cuddly puppets, audience interaction and all-original music, runs about 45 minutes and is recommended for ages 4 and up, which makes it a gentle, not-frightening Halloween show for young children. A free parking lot is at 5801 Oxford Road; tickets are sold through the Puppet Co. box office.
