White Oak Library's Noon Year's Eve party on Thursday, December 31, from 11 a.m. to noon, lets young children say goodbye to 2026 before lunchtime. Kids shake, jump and freeze at a dance party to greet 2027, then make a craft to help ring in the new year; the library provides all the materials. The program is listed for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and elementary-school children, and MCPL requires an adult to accompany any child under 8. Registration is not required. White Oak Library is at 11701 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring; questions to 240-773-9555.
