Fairlington Community Center's Second Saturday Crafternoons offer a new free, hands-on art project each month in the center's Art Studio (room 130). Registered participants drop in any time between 1:30 and 3 p.m. In the research window the projects are Glass Bead Magnets on November 14, a small fridge-decor craft, and 3D Snowflakes on December 12, where families fold, cut and twist paper into wintry decorations. The program is for all ages, but children must come with an adult, and every participant needs to preregister even though it is free. The drop-in format makes it easy to fit around naps or other weekend plans.
