About this adventure
D.C.'s Thanksgiving-morning turkey trot at Freedom Plaza, now in its 25th year, raises money for SOME. Kids and families can do the Little Turkey 1-Miler at 7:30 am before the 5K starts at 8:15 am, followed by a family-friendly finisher festival and a best-dressed pet 'turkey' contest. Everyone must register and pay online in advance; there is no race-day registration.
