About this adventure

The MUST Gobble Jog is a Thanksgiving-morning race on and around the Marietta Square that raises money for MUST Ministries' food, housing and emergency help for neighbors facing hunger and homelessness. The organizers pitch it as an activity for the whole family, with distances for every age: a 10K and a 5K timed run (both AJC Peachtree Road Race qualifiers and USATF certified), an untimed 5K walk/run, an untimed 1K fun run that suits school-age kids running with a parent, and a 50-yard Tot Trot dash for children 4 and under. The 10K starts first at 7:30 a.m., the 1K fun run at 8:45, the 5K races at 9:00 and 9:05, and the Tot Trot closes the morning at 10:30. Everyone registers online in advance, with a separate price for each race, and prices rise after October 31. Families who cannot come can sign up as Phantom Runners and still receive the race T-shirt. More than 3,800 participants had registered by late October.
