A Master Naturalist from the Lost Pines Chapter leads families on a 3/4-mile walk to meet backyard bugs and see how insects fight for survival — how tiny predators see, hunt and 'slay' their tiny prey. All ages are welcome and no registration is needed, which makes it an easy morning outing with young bug fans. Wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, bring water and apply sunscreen or repellent as needed. Meet at the Creekview Trailhead (first left after headquarters, past the campgrounds, park along the paved loop). The hike runs about an hour, from 10 to 11 am, on two Saturdays this season.
