About this adventure

The Autism Society of Texas holds its Austin holiday party at Rosedale School on a Saturday afternoon in mid-November. The organizer describes it as a one-of-a-kind sensory-friendly holiday party designed for family members of all ages, with games, treats, community resources and a photo with Santa. Entry is free for everyone, but every attendee must RSVP online; while registering, families can choose an optional timed Sensory Sensitive Santa photo session, for which the society asks a small nonrefundable donation. Families with a photo slot should arrive about five minutes before their time, check in at the volunteer table and be guided to the Santa area; a photographer takes pictures and parents are welcome to use their own cameras or phones too. Late arrivals will be accommodated if possible but are not guaranteed a session. A resource fair of local organizations and businesses runs alongside the party. RSVP closes the day before the party.
