About this adventure
Tales on the Trails is Georgetown's permanent StoryWalk, created by Parks and Recreation with the Georgetown Public Library. Pages of a featured children's picture book are posted in frames along the walkway of the Randy Morrow Trail beside the San Gabriel River, so families read the story page by page as they stroll. The book changes periodically; the current title is Whose Egg Is That? by Darrin Lunde, a nonfiction guessing game about animals, their eggs and their habitats. The installation reopened on October 1, 2026. It is free, self-guided and stroller-friendly, a good short outing for preschoolers and early readers. Parking, restrooms and a water fountain are at the trailhead on East Morrow Street, next to San Gabriel Park.
