About this adventure
LCRA's sixth annual Halloween day at McKinney Roughs Nature Park near Cedar Creek turns the wooded trails into a trick-or-treat route. Families come in costume and collect candy along the park trails, then try the outdoor activities: a petting zoo, a balloon artist, rock climbing and a chance to touch some creepy-crawly critters. Pets can enter a costume contest, judged by crowd vote at 12:30 p.m. Older kids can add a ride on Line 1 of the Zip Lost Pines zip line tour for an additional fee, with weight restrictions. Food trucks include Raging Bull Street Tacos, Fancy Funnel Cakes and Jeremiah's Italian Ice. Tickets are sold online in advance, starting at $15 for everyone ages 4 and older. Wear closed-toe shoes for the trails.
