About this adventure
The Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center's monthly Casa de la Cultura caminata goes Halloween on October 31. Families stroll the trail that loops around the MACC by Lady Bird Lake, stopping at candy stations run by local organizations and groups, while guides share the stories, public art and history of the site along the way. It is a gentle, daytime trick-or-treat that suits toddlers and young children who are not up for an evening of door-to-door, and costumes fit right in. The walk runs from 10 a.m. to noon. It is free; the MACC asks families to RSVP on Eventbrite so organizers can plan candy and staffing.
