Before Christmas came in a box, it was made by hand. The Carroll County Farm Museum's special holiday afternoon in Westminster celebrates old-fashioned traditions: the Old Line Statesman perform holiday music from 1 to 2 pm, Santa is on the farm (bring your camera and your Christmas list), kids make their own old-fashioned ornaments to take home at hands-on craft tables, and hot cocoa is served to finish the visit. It is part of the museum's 60th-anniversary 'Hands that Built the Holiday' season, so the decorated 1850s almshouse rooms are open too. Runs noon to 4 pm on Saturday, December 5. Admission is $10 per family, $5 for adults and children 9 and older, $4 for seniors.
