About this adventure

A Veterans Day-themed run and walk on the paved, mostly flat roads of the Hammerman Area of Gunpowder Falls State Park, overlooking the Chesapeake Bay. Families can sign up for the 5K run or the 1K walk (walkers may also cover the whole course or whatever distance suits them), and the organizers invite everyone to wear red, white and blue. 'Rubble' the Construction Dog character will be on hand for photos with kids. Check-in runs from 8 to 8:55 am at the start area, opening ceremonies are at 9, and the run and walk start at 9:15, followed by prizes. Chip timing gives every finisher an online result, a printable certificate and a finish-line video link. The event goes on rain or shine, and proceeds benefit the Chesapeake Bay Association.
