About this adventure

SPAN, the Severna Park Assistance Network, holds its Turkey Trot on a Saturday morning in early November at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville. There is a timed 5K on the park's loop trail and a one-mile fun walk/run that starts 25 minutes later, a comfortable distance for younger children. The event is stroller-friendly and leashed dogs are welcome (both should start toward the back of the pack), and there are restrooms in the park just behind the playground. The 5K offers age-group prizes donated by local businesses instead of medals, and youth pricing applies to runners under 18. Teams of four or more friends get a social-team rate. Packet pickup and race-day registration open at 8 a.m. at the River Birch Pavilion area; sign up at least 20 minutes before your start.
