About this adventure
A one-off sensory-friendly storytime at Edgewater Library for children from birth to age 5 who have a hard time in large groups, are on the autism spectrum, or are sensitive to sensory overload. The library runs it as a supportive, judgment-free hour in the branch's community meeting room, with a small group so children can settle in at their own pace; siblings are welcome too. Stories, songs and simple movement are geared to toddlers and preschoolers and their caregivers. This is the only date on Edgewater's calendar this season (other branches such as Severna Park, Severn and Odenton run regular series). Space is limited and registration, which opens November 2, is required — one registration per family.
