About this adventure

Glen Burnie Library offers two sensory-friendly storytimes this fall — one on a Monday evening for families who can't make a weekday morning, and one on a Friday morning — for children from birth to 5 who have trouble in big groups, are on the autism spectrum, or are easily overloaded by sound and activity. The library keeps the group small and the tone judgment-free, and siblings are welcome. Sessions last about an hour and combine read-alouds with songs and gentle movement for young children and their grown-ups. Registration is required because space is limited; it opens online about two weeks before each session, and one registration covers the family. A good first library outing for children who have found regular storytime too much.
