A birding-basics walk for older kids and their adults at Moose Hill in Sharon. On the trails, a naturalist shows families how to use binoculars, field guides and birding apps, and how to identify birds by shape, size, color, sound and behavior, and how season, weather and time of day change who is out. Loaner binoculars are limited, so bring your own if you have them. The 90-minute walk starts inside the Nature Center and involves extended time outdoors. It is designed for families with children ages 8 to 17.
