A quieter, supported session of Winterlights, the outdoor holiday light show at the Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate in Canton, set aside for children and adults with sensory needs. Each Sunday sensory-friendly hour sells fewer tickets, so there is more room on the grounds and less crowding. The Trustees provide a social narrative and know-before-you-go materials, a limited number of sensory kits, lower music volume, and an earlier arrival time with some daylight remaining to soften the contrast of the lights. Families are encouraged to bring headphones, fidgets and any other supports they use. Visitors walk the estate's illuminated displays and can buy hot cocoa, cider and desserts. Timed tickets must be bought in advance (one per person) and are not sold on site; children 2 and under are free, and children 15 and under are free from December 28 to January 2. Unsafe weather cancels the event.
