Saturday-morning open barnyard hours at Weir River Farm in Hingham. Families can meet the pigs, rabbits and other furry residents, interact with the goats and greet the sheep, then head out on the farm's woodland trails. It is an easy, low-key way for young children to spend time with farm animals on a working South Shore farm. The program meets in the barnyard; park across from the Studio and follow the chute down. It runs rain or shine, dogs are not allowed, and children under 2 are free. A quieter sensory-friendly hour follows on some dates (see separate listing).
