Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary in Natick offers its own pre-Thanksgiving turkey walk for families. A naturalist guides the group through the late-fall landscape in search of Wild Turkeys and their tracks, feathers and scratchings, explaining how the birds roost, forage and talk to one another. After the hike, families gather for a turkey storybook and a take-home craft. It suits children 5 to 12 with an adult, lasts 90 minutes and follows wooded trails, so bring a water bottle and wear sturdy shoes. Meet in front of the Nature Center; registration is required.
