Stevens Creek Nature Center in Mint Hill invites families to bring a friend or two and meet some of its ambassador animals, from snakes to turtles, during a weekend of drop-in sessions. Naturalists bring the center's favorite residents out for an up-close look and answer children's questions. Sessions are Saturday, November 14 (10–11 a.m. and 1–2 p.m.) and Sunday, November 15 (1:30–2:30 p.m.). No pre-registration is required; the program takes place inside the fully accessible nature center and is not a drop-off program, so children must be accompanied by an adult.
