About this adventure
Steele Creek Library pairs a sensory storytime with time in its sensory room. The storytime offers stories, songs and activities designed for children with autism spectrum disorders, sensory integration issues or other developmental and physical difficulties, and parents and caregivers join in. Afterwards families are encouraged to stay and use the branch's sensory room, a space with specialized multi-sensory equipment that offers light, sound and touch experiences for children with different sensory needs. The library lists it for babies through preteens. No registration is needed, but space is limited: tickets are handed out 15 minutes before the start and the space opens at 10:25 a.m. Sessions this season are Friday November 20 and Friday December 18, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
