Union County Public Library's weekly Storytime at the Main Library in Monroe is a mixed-age, 30-minute session for children from birth to age five and their grown-ups. Each storytime is built around the early literacy practices of Every Child Ready to Read, reading, writing, talking, singing and playing, and staff encourage adults and children to join in together. Every storytime in a given week has the same content across all library locations, so families can pick the branch and day that fits. Attendance is limited, so arrive a few minutes early.
