December's cold moon closes the district's full moon series at Four Rivers Environmental Education Center on Wednesday, December 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A naturalist leads a night hike listening for nocturnal animals that stay active in winter and explains how others survive the cold. The evening ends around a warm campfire with s'mores. Free and open to all ages; register by December 21. A good school-break outing for families.
