About this adventure

The City of Crown Point sets Santa up in the lower level of the historic Lake County Courthouse on the downtown square for photo visits on weekend afternoons through December. Children visit with Santa, and the city asks families to bring a camera to take their own pictures. Visits run from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays starting the weekend after Thanksgiving, with a final date on Tuesday, December 22. On the first Saturday, Santa arrives in town by sheriff's helicopter at Pointe Plaza in the morning and then comes to the courthouse to visit with children and families until 4 p.m. The city's page lists no fee and no reservations.
