About this adventure

The Oak Lawn Park District's Thanksgiving-week basketball event at the Community Pavilion, a new and expanded version of its Turkey Shoot Challenge. The main event is the Parent-Child Free Throw Shootout: each parent-and-child team takes 10 shots per person to see who will be named Turkey Shoot Champion. Around it run extra skill stations: a Dribble Dash through cones for the younger age groups, Dribble Zones to see who can keep dribbling longest for older kids and adults, and a Timed Shooting Challenge of lay-ups, free throws and three-pointers for all ages. The park district promises prizes and music, and possibly a visit from its mascot Duke Mallard. Registration is through the park district's online link; the page does not print a fee.
