About this adventure

This is a drive-through silhouette light show at the Alum Creek State Park Campgrounds, in its 27th season and run by Butch Bando's Fantasy of Lights. Guests tune to 88.3 FM, look out the right side of the vehicle, and follow a one-way route about three miles long that the organizer says takes about 30 minutes. Drivers cannot stop, turn around, or get out. The display stays open in rain, snow, or wind; severe weather that would put guests or staff at risk can close it, with updates posted on the show's social accounts. Bathrooms are in the parking lot at the exit. Weeknights are described as the quieter times. Weekends before Christmas are the busy nights, and the organizer says the wait inside the park on those nights has historically been about 45 minutes. Santa's House, formerly run by Cross Creek Campground, remains closed. Mrs. Claus appears on selected evenings to take letters, which is listed separately.
