- Denton Parks & Rec
Denton Parks & Recreation hosts a wintry pancake breakfast with The Grinch at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center. Families sit down to a pancake and sausage breakfast, spend time with The Grinch and get a photo with him, which is emailed afterwards. There are also crafts, a carnival game and other activities for children. The event runs in two time slots, 9 to 10:30 am and 10:30 am to noon, and advance registration is required through the city's Rec1 catalog. The $10 entry fee covers the breakfast, the emailed photo and the activities. It suits families with young children who enjoy a character meet-and-greet. The date needs checking: the listing's date fields say Saturday, December 5, 2026, but its description says "Saturday, December 6".

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Read from the Discover Denton Simpleview API via curl. The date fields say 2026-12-05 (a Saturday), but the description says 'Saturday, December 6' (Dec 6, 2026 is a Sunday, so the text is probably left over from 2025). Confirm on the Rec1 registration page.
