Mesquite's Westlake Park becomes a holiday wonderland with Christmas lights, music and decorations for a two-day family event. Free features include admission and parking (with a shuttle), hot cocoa and cookies, festive-attire, cookie-eating and Buddy the Elf spaghetti-eating contests, a life-sized Candyland game, a Rudolph feed station, character meet-and-greets, arts and crafts, photos with Santa, community performances, a North Pole mailbox for letters to Santa, a new Whoville area with the Grinch, and a Santa send-off with a fireworks finale. Activity wristbands, sold on site and good for one day, add unlimited inflatables, attractions and face painting; s'mores are $1 at the yule log and food vendors are on site.
