Group learn-to-skate classes at the Galleria Dallas rink, split by age: Tot Intro for ages 3-5, Jr. Intro for 6-12 and Adult Intro for 13 and up, with weekly class times on Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Over the winter break the school runs two short 3-day mini classes, December 22-24 and December 29-31, at $48 each, a low-commitment way for a child to try lessons. Enrollment includes free skate rental on class days, free admission to public sessions during the semester and two make-up classes; each semester ends with a small recital, ribbon testing and a certificate. Instructors recommend arriving 20 minutes early, wearing socks that cover the ankle bone, long pants and gloves or mittens, and tying skates tightly. After the intro levels, skaters move on to continuation classes up through freestyle. There are no cancellations or class credits. Register online through the school's booking page or by calling the rink.
