Make & Take: Decorate a Gingerbread House — Central Market Cooking School Plano

About this adventure

Central Market's Plano Cooking School runs all-ages gingerbread house decorating sessions through December. Each decorator gets an authentic Swiss Lebkuchen gingerbread house, plenty of royal icing and a spread of candies and edible decorations; instructors show how to make royal icing, fill a pastry bag and use different piping techniques, then everyone decorates their own house. A box is provided to carry the finished house home, and seasonal non-alcoholic drinks are served. Tickets are per person: an adult decorating ticket, a child decorating ticket (17 and under, must come with an adult who also has a ticket), or an adult chaperone-only ticket without a house. Observers cannot stay in the room because space is limited, and everyone signs a waiver at check-in. Sessions run about 90 minutes.
