Downtown Denton's Holiday Lighting Festival, held since 1988, takes over Quakertown Park on the first Saturday in December. The official tree lighting is at sunset, and the festival also offers photos with Santa, crafts with Mrs. Claus, music from choirs, bands and dancers, a 'snow' hill, a trackless train for small children, illuminated tunnels and light displays, the Mistletoe Market and Santa's Village vendor areas, food trucks and the Holly Jolly Trolley around downtown. Wristbands (All Access $15, VIP package $40) cover the paid attractions; festival T-shirts are sold separately.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Read in a browser. Homepage says 'Saturday, December 5, 2026'; the Event Info page still says 'Saturday, December 5, 2025, 3:00 - 9:00 p.m.' (Dec 5 2025 was a Friday, so likely not updated). Time left null and availability needs_confirmation. Whether general entry is free is not stated; wristband prices are for activities.
