About this adventure
The Northeast Texas Children's Museum in downtown Commerce is a hands-on play museum for babies through early teens, and the closest children's museum for families in Hunt County. Kids move through interactive exhibit spaces at their own pace, and the newest addition is MultiBall, an interactive ball-and-movement game the museum describes as fun for all ages, which makes it a good indoor option on a cold or rainy winter day. The museum also runs a monthly early-childhood series of toddler classes with a different theme each month (Little Astronauts in November and Winter Wonderland in December; sign-up through the museum), hosts birthday parties, and sells family memberships and gift certificates, a practical holiday gift for grandparents to give. Plan on one to two hours for a visit. Admission is per visit and the same price for children and adults, with babies under two free. Hours can change for holidays and special events, so check the museum's calendar or Facebook page before driving over, especially around Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's.
