Howell Nature Center's Creatures of the Night introduces families to the animals that come out after dark. The evening opens with a one-hour presentation in which some of the center's wildlife ambassadors help explain the adaptations nocturnal animals use for life in the dark. Afterward, wildlife experts lead a night hike through the Wild Wonders wildlife park to see what the resident owls and mammals are doing, then move onto wooded trails to look for other nocturnal creatures. The program runs Saturday, October 24, 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m. It is open to ages 5 and up, and pre-registration is required through the center's registration link. General admission is $12 per person and member admission is $10. Dress for an autumn evening outdoors.
