About this adventure
José Hernández and his world-famous, platinum-selling Mariachi Sol de México bring a mariachi Christmas show to Jones Hall, pairing traditional mariachi music with treasured holiday favorites given a mariachi twist. It is a festive way to celebrate a Feliz Navidad together, and a good introduction to live mariachi for children; the presenter sets a minimum age of 6, so it works best for school-age kids who can manage an evening concert. The show is part of the Houston Symphony's holiday series, but the orchestra itself does not perform. There is one performance only, on the Monday evening at the start of winter break.
