About this adventure
Once a month, children's librarians from Houston Public Library's Park Place Regional Library bring a 30-minute storytime outdoors to the Houston Botanic Garden in southeast Houston. It runs on the third Friday morning and is open to children of all ages with their parents or caregivers, so it suits toddlers and preschoolers in particular. The first 50 people at the ticket window get free admission for the storytime, first come, first served. Once those are gone, other families pay regular garden admission or use the Museums for All discount with a SNAP card and photo ID. Afterward families can stay and explore the gardens on the same ticket. Daytime parking is free and programs go ahead rain or shine, so bring a jacket or umbrella when the weather is uncertain. The next sessions in this window are November 20 and December 18, 2026.
