Button Ornament Workshop at the KCK Main Library

About this adventure

Kids turn a pile of buttons into handmade holiday ornaments at this Saturday afternoon workshop at the Kansas City, Kansas Public Library's Main Library. Using buttons and simple supplies, children build snowmen, Christmas trees, wreaths and other shapes, ending up with a few small, unique ornaments to give as gifts; the library frames it as a sustainable, reuse-minded craft. The workshop is open to children and teens, and staff recommend that participants be at least 6 years old because the buttons and materials are small, so it suits early grade-schoolers through tweens. The page lists no registration requirement; it runs for one hour.
