KC Crew's ninth annual Graveyard 5K winds entirely through historic Elmwood Cemetery and raises money for its preservation and upkeep. New this year is a 1-mile fun run for all ages, which makes the morning workable for families with children who are not ready for 5 kilometres; runners, walkers and strollers are all welcome. Around the races there are age-group awards, a DJ and emcee, community vendors, cemetery tours, costume prizes, face painting, a balloon artist and other Halloween activities, so children who are not running still have plenty to do. Costumes are encouraged. Registration and race fees are handled on the KC Crew event page.
