About this adventure

Kidspace Children's Museum in Pasadena turns into a winter land for its seasonal Winter Frolic, with cold-weather activities designed for young children and no actual snow or ice. The centerpiece is a no-ice Sock Skating Rink where beginners can slide and spin in their socks; it costs an extra $6 per person and capacity is limited for safety. Children can also ride trikes through a giant gingerbread house into a candyland forest, build sculptures from frostbite-free play 'ice blocks' in Penguin Paradise, and dress a life-size No-Melt Snowman in costumes for the Snow Family Follies photo stage; the museum encourages holiday sweaters. The other Winter Frolic activities are included with regular museum admission, which is booked through the museum's ticket page. The season runs from November 6 through January 10 during normal museum hours; the museum is closed November 2–5 while new exhibits are installed.
