Organizer
Panthers IceDen (Florida Panthers)

Panthers IceDen, the Florida Panthers' community rink in Coral Springs, runs public skating sessions that families can drop into. Rental figure and hockey skates start at youth size 8, so most preschoolers and up can borrow a pair, and the rink sells time with two skate aids for wobbly beginners: a Bobby the Seal trainer ($16) and a glider ($14). Skate aids are not offered on Friday nights. Daytime sessions on Saturdays and Sundays are the easiest fit for younger children; Friday and Saturday night sessions are priced higher, include skate rental and do not allow backpacks. Every skater has to create an online DaySmart account before skating, and booking online saves $2 and holds a spot. Rink rules matter for families: adults may not carry children on the ice, there is no chasing or horseplay, and helmets are encouraged but not provided, so bring a bike or hockey helmet for small skaters. Outside food is not allowed; there is a concession stand and a bar and grill upstairs. The same building hosts the Panthers Skating Academy learn-to-skate classes.
