About this adventure
The Milburn Stone Theatre at Cecil College stages A Christmas Carol: The Musical, the Alan Menken and Lynn Ahrens adaptation of Dickens first produced at Madison Square Garden, over two December weekends. Scrooge's Christmas Eve journey with the ghosts of Past, Present and Future is told with big ensemble songs, dance, costumes and scenery, which makes it a solid first holiday musical for school-age children. The theater warns that it includes mild supernatural imagery, ghostly apparitions and some emotionally intense moments that may frighten very young children, and recommends it for ages 8 and up with parental discretion. Friday shows are at 7:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 pm. Tickets are $24 for adults, $22 seniors and military, $20 students and $16 for children under 12, through the theater's box office.
