Elmwood Park Zoo's annual Halloween event turns the whole zoo into a costume-friendly trick-or-treat trail on fall weekends. Children (and costumed grown-ups) follow treat and activity stations around the zoo, and the weekends add a straw maze, games and live music. Bring a bag for treats. Vendors are asked to hand out palm-oil-free candy or non-food items, and sponsors are encouraged to bring toddler-friendly options. Boo at the Zoo is included with paid zoo admission; yearly members do not need a separate ticket, but free-admission passes, discount coupons and Community Passes are not valid. Hours are 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM on the remaining weekends of the run, which ends November 1.
