About this adventure

Union League Liberty Hill in Lafayette Hill opens the cart paths of its golf course on Thanksgiving morning for a scenic 5K run and a 1-mile fun run/walk, both starting promptly at 8:30 am from the Clubhouse, the first building on the left. Grab-and-go breakfast items are available after the race, and the 5K gives prizes to the top three men, the top three women and the top three children aged 12 and under. Strollers are welcome, though the organizers warn of a steep hill, and dogs are not allowed on the course. Registration is $40 for the 5K and $30 for the 1-mile run/walk, and the event goes on rain or shine. T-shirts are not guaranteed for people who register after October 15. It is a compact holiday outing for families who want a short course on the club's golf-course paths before the day's cooking begins.
