About this adventure
Buttonwood Park Zoo's 25th annual daytime Halloween celebration spreads trick-or-treating across the whole zoo campus over three October weekends; this is the final weekend. Along with treats, children can get their faces painted all day and meet roaming characters: a bubble fairy from 10 am to 3 pm, pirates from noon to 2 pm and a dinosaur from 1 to 3 pm, plus princesses on Saturday and Huntrx characters on Sunday from noon to 2 pm. Costumes are welcome. Tickets are sold online through the zoo's ticketing site; children under 2 are free. It is a daylight event, so it suits younger trick-or-treaters who are not ready for evening crowds.
