About this adventure

The Town of Cary's Grinch Candy Cane Hunt sends children through Bond Park on Saturday, Dec 12, 2026, racing the Grinch to find the red-and-white candy canes Santa's elves have hidden around the park before he can turn them all green. The story-driven hunt starts at the Bond Park Boathouse with a small keepsake craft, then kids head out to search, and prizes go to those who find the specialty candy canes. The morning wraps up back at the boathouse with a cup of hot chocolate and a visit from a surprise guest. It is a good fit for preschool and elementary-age children who like an active outing more than a show. Pre-registration is required through the Town of Cary. The calendar listing does not print the session time or a fee, so check the registration details when you sign up.
