About this adventure

Quail Ridge Books, the independent bookstore in North Hills, holds a free Under the Tree Storytime every Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning at 10:30. The store's children's booksellers read aloud their favorite picture books, a mix of new titles and beloved classics, and the stories wander widely, from faraway places and cozy hideaways to journeys back in time and into the future. Each session lasts about 30 minutes, which suits toddlers and preschoolers with short attention spans, though the store says the readings are fun for all ages. Parents and caregivers are asked to stay with their children during the reading, and to leave strollers parked outside the store so there is room for everyone on the floor. Admission is free. It makes an easy weekend or Monday-morning stop before errands at North Hills, and families who fall in love with a book can find it on the shelves afterward.
