San Diego Ballet's Nutcracker Tea Party returns to Liberty Station in Point Loma on Sunday, December 6, as part of the community's Salute the Season holiday programme. Children and their grown-ups enjoy holiday treats while dancers from San Diego Ballet perform excerpts from The Nutcracker, and Santa stops by to visit. There are two seatings, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., which makes it a manageable first taste of ballet for young children who might not sit through a full-length performance (San Diego Ballet's full Nutcracker plays at The Magnolia in El Cajon later in December and is listed separately). Tickets are required and are sold through Liberty Station's ticketing site; the event page does not print prices, ages or the exact room, so check the ticket page for those details and book ahead, as tea events tend to sell out.
