A free-feeling neighborhood Halloween festival run by County Parks at the Spring Valley Community Center. The calendar lists music, games, arts and crafts, face painting and other activities aimed at trick-or-treaters of all ages, so children can come in costume and move between stations at their own pace. It runs for three hours on a Friday evening (4–7 p.m.), which makes it an easy after-school stop for preschoolers and grade-schoolers with their grown-ups. The listing does not mention an admission fee or registration; call the community center at (619) 479-1832 with questions before you go.
