About this adventure

Young performers from the Broadway Theater's fall Saturday performance workshop put on The Princess and the Pea in three Sunday showings. The cast are children aged roughly 7 to 15 who rehearsed the show over several weeks, and the theater stresses that its youth productions use a full set, costumes, sound and lighting rather than a simple skit. The short fairy-tale musical comedy is a good first theater outing for preschoolers and early grade-schoolers, and a chance for older kids considering the theater's workshops to see what the program produces. Tickets are inexpensive and sold for each showing; buy them through the theater or from a cast family. Seating is in the small historic Broadway Theater on East Broadway in downtown Vista.
