The New Children's Museum

Twice a week The New Children's Museum runs facilitated Toddler Time sessions for children 5 and younger with their grown-ups. Sessions take place every Wednesday and Friday at 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. and rotate through themes: story time brought to life with bilingual stories, puppets and skits; nature-based science games and art; toddler-centred art-making with paint, printmaking and recyclables; and music and sound, where families sing, dance, play instruments and build their own from art materials. The museum describes the programme as supporting healthy bodies and minds through music, movement and social play. Each session lasts about 30 minutes, is limited to 20 children and is first come, first served; the location inside the museum changes weekly, so check in at the Welcome Desk for the day's theme and room. Toddler Time is free with museum admission and is supported by First 5 San Diego.
