About this adventure

On the first Saturday morning of the season, the Kristi Yamaguchi Holiday Ice Rink in San Ramon holds a one-hour beginner skating clinic with Olympian Kristi Yamaguchi herself. From 9 to 10 AM on November 7, rink instructors teach an introductory skating lesson while Kristi Yamaguchi shares tips with the skaters on the ice. The clinic is open to ages 5 and up, includes skate rental, and is capped at 50 skaters, so it suits children who are new to skating or just starting out and want a memorable first lesson. Parents should book in advance through the rink's ticket site, since spots are limited and all sales are final. Children who catch the skating bug can continue with the rink's five-week Saturday Learn to Skate Academy, which begins the following week.
